Athens Group has reported that Keith Davidson, a third generation Oil & Gas industry veteran with deep experience in improving safety and operational performance, has joined the company as a Director of Business Development. Davidson began his career in Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) working for the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA).

While there, he monitored and maintained a program for the space shuttle which determined the best safety approach for critical situations that might arise during a mission. Since then, he has worked for Petrotechnics USA, Schlumberger, i2 Technologies and Parametric Technologies. Always focused on helping the industry with the toughest challenges, Davidson has designed and sold technology solutions to industry leaders including: BHP Billiton, BP, Chevron, ConocoPhillips, ExxonMobil, and Shell.

A lifetime learner, Davidson is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers, the National Petrochemical & Refiners Association and the Association of Reciprocal Safety Councils, Inc.
