BBC Chartering has successfully accomplished its first Airbus voyage from Hamburg, Germany to Mobile, Texas. The carrier takes this as an opportunity to promote the service as a new regular sailing which is open for additional volumes to be shipped from Continental Europe to the US Gulf and East Coast.

As reported earlier, Airbus built its first U.S. Manufacturing facility to assemble and deliver A319, A320 and A321 aircraft to meet the growing needs of its customers in the United States and elsewhere. The Mobile plant is now the company’s fourth’ major production facility in the network which includes Toulouse, France; Hamburg, Germany; and Tianjin, China. According to Airbus, the new production facility is expected to employ about 1,000 people when it reaches full annual output of 40 to 50 aircraft. This requires constant supply of large components which are scheduled to arrive bi-weekly onboard a BBC Chartering operated vessel
