Bluestone Offshore starts Great Barrier Reef project

Bluestone Offshore

Bluestone Offshore's Maya set sail from Townsville, Australia towards the Great Barrier Reef with an international team of researchers onboard.

Throughout the next 6 weeks the team will conduct a study to determine biologic and geologic response of fossilized coral to sudden sea-level and climate change.

Coral core samples will be collected at 160m water depth and undergo basic examination at the Maya before being transferred to a core repository in Germany
