Offshore handling systems specialist Caley Ocean Systems based in the UK and umbilical and cable maker Umbilicals International based in the US have joined forces to offer operators and offshore contractors integrated solutions for the deployment of subsea packages and well intervention systems.

Increased deepwater and ultra-deepwater processing and production, and the high number of mature subsea wells, is driving the demand for subsea intervention. The integrated approach offered by the combined technical and engineering expertise and resource of Caley and Umbilicals International holds the key to maximising the efficiency of intervention operations.

“Flexibility of mobilisation is critical to minimising the time and cost of intervention,” says Gregor McPherson, sales director, Caley Ocean Systems. “Handling systems need to be compact, often modular, with a small deck footprint and able to be readily mobilised to vessels of opportunity.”
