Cape says that its Qatar operations have signed a five-year contract with a one-year extension option with Pearl GTL, to provide multi-disciplinary maintenance services to the gas-to-liquids plant at Ras Laffan, Qatar.

The Pearl Gas to Liquids (GTL), a joint venture of Shell and Qatar Petroleum, is the world's largest GTL plant and one of the world's largest, most complex and challenging energy projects ever commissioned. Located in Ras Laffan Industrial City, Qatar, Pearl GTL is the world's largest plant to turn natural gas into cleaner-burning fuels. Now fully ramped up, the plant helps to meet the world's growing demand for cleaner energy. Cape will provide scaffolding, painting, insulation, and refractory services with circa 175 workers on-site.
