Protecta has launched in Europe the PRO™ Stretch energy absorbing lanyard. This new product in Europe adds an additional depth to the range of Protecta energy absorbing lanyards.

Available in a choice of lengths with many combinations of CE connectors, steel and aluminium, the PRO Stretch energy absorbing lanyard uses a new absorbing system for Capital Safety in Europe, which allows the energy absorbing lanyard to be built with the absorption materials spread along the overall length of the lanyard, thus eliminating the bulk of a traditional absorber pack. This also gives the lanyard much better feel and balance.

An elastic element has also been incorporated in to the length, giving a partially performant elastic lanyard, this keeps the lanyard up off the floor, away from dirt and contamination, as well as reducing snagging and trip hazards.

Peter BLACKBURN, Product Manager for Softgoods with Capital Safety said “The more I’ve handled and more importantly used this lanyard, the more impressed I’ve been with it. Its well balanced, compact, and the fact that its elastic means it stays off the floor and out of my way. I believe this is going to quickly be one of Protecta’s best sellers.”

Incorporating a highly popular label cover system, an idea borrowed from the PRO line harnesses. And a new design of activation indicator, that at a glance show if the absorption system has been used or not.

The Protecta PRO Stretch Energy Absorbing Lanyard meets the applicable industry standards and is CE certified.
