Carbon Sciences Inc. is focusing on Oklahoma as the location of its first gas-to-liquids (GTL) plant. A preliminary study by the company's management indicates that the Tulsa area could meets the company's requirements for developing and operating a profitable plant.

"We are very impressed by the business opportunity we find in Oklahoma," said Bill Beifuss, CEO of Carbon Sciences. "Natural gas is abundant in this part of the country and Oklahoma and the Tulsa area are centrally located and very business friendly. Also, Tulsa offers a well-trained and experienced oil & gas workforce and one of our key technology providers is located in the area. We need approximately 15 acres for a GTL plant and are currently evaluating several sites in the greater Tulsa area."
