Global specialist oilfield production chemicals company Champion Technologies is celebrating an awards double after winning two awards at last night’s Northern Star Business Awards (23rd September 2010).
Champion was the biggest winners of the night, winning in the categories of Commitment to People Development and Commitment to Research and Development at the awards ceremony, which took place at the Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre.
The Commitment to People Development Award recognises the company that the judging panel felt had shown the most commitment to developing its staff through skills and personal development, investment and achievement programmes and outcomes. The Commitment to Research and Development Award recognises the company that has demonstrated a strong commitment to Research and Development in the area of energy and energy-related technologies to create both commercial growth and competitive advantage.
Harry Montgomerie, EH business unit division manager at Champion Technologies, said: “We have some of the industry’s leading chemistry and chemical engineering professionals working on research and development in Aberdeen and we also understand that the success of our business lies with our people. To be recognised in these areas is a fantastic achievement for the company and testament to the ambition, hard work and commitment shown by the whole of Champion Technologies.”
The Northern Star Business Awards, which is in its seventh year, is the flagship event of the Aberdeen and Grampian Chamber of Commerce and brings together the brightest and best businesses from the North-east of Scotland.
