John Thompson

Ambrey Risk Commercial Director, John Thompson, takes over the role of Managing Director (UK) to the company, leaving fellow Director, Chris Charnley, to step up to a new role as Ambrey’s Group Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Thompson, 33, and Charnley, 32, who founded the British company in 2010, along with fellow Director Mark Osborne, have grown Ambrey into a highly successful international risk management company, with offices in the UK, Dubai, Singapore, Seoul & Hong Kong.

John Thompson, a Maritime Counter-piracy specialist is now responsible for the day-to-day management of the UK Company, with particular focus on its European and US client base. Chris Charnley, who is widely regarded as an expert in risk management across the Shipping, Oil & Gas, Mining, Telecoms and Finance sectors, will now head up Ambrey’s rapidly growing international group of companies and expanding network of offices in the Middle East and Asia Pacific.
