Chapman Freeborn Airchartering has reported continued strong demand for its specialist air charter services to the oil and gas industry.

The latest of several large movements in recent weeks saw the global charter firm coordinate the air transportation of a giant piece of deep-sea drilling equipment from Norway to Korea, to support projects in the region.

The 80-ton part was flown from Oslo (OSL) to Seoul Incheon (ICN) on an AN-124 aircraft, arranged by Chapman Freeborn's UK office in close cooperation with its client CEVA Logistics.

Elsewhere, other notable charter movements have included:

A time-critical MD-11 charter also organised by Chapman Freeborn's UK office to transport rubber booms, pumps and other oil spill equipment from East Midlands (EMA) in the UK, to Freeport (FPO) for a shipping incident in the Bahamas; and,

An urgent AN-124 charter arranged by Chapman Freeborn's Dubai office to move 105 tons of equipment from Sharjah (SHJ) in the UAE, to Benghazi (BEN) for a downstream project in Libya.

"Across our worldwide offices we're seeing continued demand for our expertise - particularly for outsize and urgent cargo charter services - but also passenger movements for crews and executives."
