Seadrill to take $$152M for T9

Seadrill tender t9

The Seadrill operated tender rig T9 has been awarded a three-year contract extension with ExxonMobil worth $152 million.

The oil company will execute its option for the T9 in mid-January 2009.

Seadrill controls 49 percent in Varia Perdana, the business that owns the T9 tender rig.

The barge with heli-deck has been offshore Malaysia working for the oil company since 2004.
