Continental Resources, Inc. reported the appointment of Eric S. Eissenstat to head the Company's legal team. Eissenstat, a former Director of the Fellers Snider law firm in Oklahoma City, will serve as Senior Vice President and Chief Legal Officer and assume responsibility for the Company's legal matters with the support of General Counsel Don Fischbach.

Eissenstat joins Continental with 27 years of experience in complex business and commercial matters involving oil and gas, antitrust, business torts, computer law, shareholder suits, class actions, insurance, trade regulation, contract, corporate disputes, employment-related disputes, intellectual property and commercial arbitration.

A frequent speaker and author on the topics of antitrust litigation, business torts, computer law, punitive damages and electronic discovery, Eissenstat's work has been widely recognized. He is a Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America, a recipient of the Oklahoma County Bar Association Leadership in the Law Award, and is listed in The Best Lawyers in America for Commercial Litigation, Insurance and Antitrust Law. He is also listed in Chambers USA Leading Lawyers for Business, and has been voted one of the Top 10 lawyers in Oklahoma by Super Lawyers magazine.

Eissenstat is an active member of the American Bar Association, and has held leadership positions in the Oklahoma Bar Association and Oklahoma County Bar Association. He earned his Bachelor of Science with honors in Political Science from Oklahoma State University and his Juris Doctorate with honors and Order of the Coif from the University of Oklahoma.
