Lloyd’s Register EMEA, through its Aberdeen office, has won a significant contract with the multi-national engineering firm Kellogg Brown & Root (KBR). The five-year contract is for the provision of asset integrity services across ChevronTexaco operated assets on the UK continental shelf.
The contract will see KBR Production Services and Lloyd’s Register EMEA working together to achieve the ChevronTexaco asset integrity objectives safely and in a spirit of trust and co-operation. While the current project covers six assets in total (four fixed steel structures and two floating installations), it is seen as the first in a series of longer term co-operative ventures between Lloyd’s Register EMEA and KBR Production Services.
Ron Edgar, Lloyd’s Register EMEA’s Integrity Services Manager, says “We are delighted with the award of this contract and look forward to a long-lasting, excellent relationship with KBR, a world-class engineering organisation. We feel certain that this will prove beneficial to both companies, as well as to ChevronTexaco”.
Dave Irvine, ChevronTexaco Business Manager for KBR Production Services, added that “Lloyd’s Register EMEA secured this contract by demonstrating excellent alignment with KBR’s business drivers for safely delivering value. Its capabilities and experience complement our own and we look forward to maximising benefits for ChevronTexaco, Lloyd’s Register EMEA and KBR Production Services.”
