Orion Group, one of the world’s largest independently owned personnel specialists has signed a multimillion pound contract to provide expert engineering staff to the Italian energy giant Eni.

The company, an international leading recruitment expert across the engineering industry, is one of three appointed to deliver Eni’s ‘contract for provision of International Manpower Services’ across a number of their key locations including, Houston, Oslo, Paris, Singapore, Geoje and Yokohama.

The contract will see Orion provide staff across a number of Engineering, Construction and Commissioning professional disciplines, with a focus on candidates with FLNG knowledge.

Mike Wallace, Group Sales Director at Orion Group, says, “We are delighted to receive this award, our recent and relevant expertise in delivering major projects of this size has direct synergies with the requirements of this project.”

“Being appointed to work with Eni in supplying people internationally underlines Orion’s strength and ability to attract some of the world’s finest energy specialists. In an uncertain jobs market it’s encouraging to see one of the world’s leading energy companies looking to recruit a significant number of new staff. As a business Orion are well placed to service this contract given our own geographical footprint and expertise of managing and mobilising large scale multi-national workforces,” adds Wallace.

Orion’s project team will be working alongside Eni over the coming weeks and will be actively searching the market for engineering expertise particularly related to FLNG knowledge and will be welcoming interested parties to contact their teams in the UK who will be coordinating the resourcing effort.
