DeepOcean AS, a subsidiary of DeepOcean Group Holding BV (DeepOcean), has been awarded an engineering, procurement, fabrication and installation (EPCI) contract for wear protection on the risers at the Troll C platform in the Norwegian Sea.

The award covers, in addition to installation, the design, engineering, procurement and fabrication of the wear protection solution for the risers on the Troll C platform.

The onshore project team will work out of DeepOcean’s offices in Haugesund, Norway. Offshore execution is scheduled for the third quarter of 2017.

DeepOcean’s Commercial Director for Subsea Services, Rolf Ivar Sørdal, says, “the award of this EPCI contract demonstrates our customer’s confidence is DeepOcean’s ability to deliver tailor made and efficient solutions both in terms of technical ingenuity and offshore operations. We are looking forward to cooperate with Statoil on this interesting project.”
