To mark the 150th anniversary of the Foundation Det Norske Veritas (DNV) and the one year anniversary of its merger with Germanischer Lloyd (GL), DNV GL hosted a prestigious event in Oslo yesterday, with dignitaries, government officials and customers present.
Over 1000 guests gathered in Oslo yesterday to celebrate the Foundation DNV’s 150th anniversary and DNV GL’s first year as a merged company. The event started at the Oslo Opera House, followed by an evening dinner at DNV GL’s headquarters in Høvik.
The event was opened by Henrik O. Madsen, President & CEO of the DNV GL Group. “Today we celebrate, but it is also a moment to reflect and thank our partners and friends all over the world, who have been on the long journey together with us. Without their support we would not be where we are today,” said Madsen and added, “As we move forward, we will leverage on the experience, capabilities and collaborations developed over the years and be guided and defined by our purpose of safeguarding life, property and the environment and our vision to have a global impact for a safe and sustainable future.”
