Dolphin Geophysical in co-operation with Searcher Seismic are about to commence acquisition of 2,000 km2 of high-resolution 3D Multi-Client data over open acreage in the Barents Sea using Dolphin’s 12 streamer high capacity 3D seismic vessel, Polar Duke.

The blocks and data coverage were nominated and designed for the upcoming 22 governmental licensing round in Norway, by pre-committing clients working close with Dolphin and Searcher designing the Multi-Client program.

Searcher Seismic, Geir Helgesen Sales & Business Manager commented, "following the success of the recent high resolution 2D survey a focused area will be covered by the 3D, which will for the first time offer a 3D high resolution image of the Byornoya fault complex".
