Henri Proglio, Chairman and CEO, has decided to realign EDF's organization in order to accelerate synergies at Group level. The three business lines of production, downstream and networks will be strengthened in their mandate to steer synergies across geographical areas.
As a consequence the International activities division, until now under the leadership of Daniel Camus, will no longer exist and its missions will be reassigned within a few weeks to the business lines. Daniel will leave the company to pursue other career opportunities.
Henri Proglio highlighted "the critical role of Daniel Camus, who joined EDF as Group Chief Financial Officer in 2002, in the key steps of the Group transformation".
He led numerous strategic projects such as the financial restructuring of EnBW in Germany, the consolidation of EDF's shareholding in Edison in Italy, the divestiture of Latin American activities, the acquisition of British Energy as well as SPE or the alliance with Centrica... while maintaining a solid rating of the EDF Group. Today, international activities represent close to 50% of the Group scope.
He also orchestrated the decisive listing of EDF on the stock exchange, now one of the world's largest market capitalization of its sector.
Henri Proglio took this occasion to say : "I express my respect for Daniel as I look forward to continuing the privileged relationship we have forged together since many years".
