Goliat field

Eni Norge, the operator of the Goliat license (PL229/PL229B) and its partner, StatoilHydro, will deliver the Plan for Development and Operation (PDO) to the Ministry of Petroleum and Energy (MPE). If all proceeds according to plan, final processing of the PDO to the Parliament is expected during second quarter of 2009.

This is an important milestone for the Goliat license and the submission of the PDO will be a key step in the realization of the first oil field development in the Barents Sea. Goliat is also a strategic project for Eni, by realizing a state of the art development with reduced emissions in an environmentally important area.

The licensees in production license 229/229B are:

Eni Norge AS (Operator) 65% StatoilHydro Petroleum AS 35%
