The asset swap agreed between E.ON and Statkraft in July has been completed with effect of 31st December 2008.
E.ON is now the sole owner of E.ON Sverige(1), in which Statkraft had held 44.6 percent.
In addition, E.ON has received a hydro power station in Sweden. In return, Statkraft obtained power stations in Sweden, Germany and the UK as well as 83,415,119 E.ON shares worth approx. 2.2 billion euros.
Consequently, Statkraft has now a 4.17 percent stake in E.ON. The total value of the transaction is around 4.5 billion euros.
