Europa O&G provided an update on the West Firsby-9 drilling operations.

The tophole section is now completed and cased to a depth of 206 feet. The Geometric HH102a rig has moved onto site, with a view to rigging up by close of business on Christmas Eve. Drilling operations on the main hole section will commence after the Christmas weekend.

Paul Barrett, Managing Director of Europa, said "Construction of the well cellar and the drilling of the tophole section have taken place in challenging weather conditions and all involved have risen to the challenge admirably. We now look forward to the main drilling phase and will report in the New Year on progress. In the meantime, I would like to wish all our stakeholders a very Merry Xmas and a particularly prosperous New Year."
