Fairfield Energy acquires Clipper South from Shell and Exxonmobil

Fairfield Energy reports its intention to proceed with an initial public offering of shares and a listing on the main market of the London Stock Exchange.

Highlights • Fairfield is an independent oil and gas exploration, development and production group focused on operations in the UK Continental Shelf ('UKCS') • Established in 2005 specifically to access the North Sea opportunity through its strategy of acquiring and developing both mature producing assets with significant upside potential and development or redevelopment assets in need of technical focus and capital • Total production of 4.6 mboed in 2009, forecast to grow to 34.4 mboed in 2014, based on the Proved plus Probable forecast • Proved plus Probable reserves as at 31 March 2010 of 94.1 mmboe, of which approximately one third is attributable to producing assets and two thirds to development assets • Experienced management team, technical capability and rigorous operational and commercial processes in place to maximise the value of its current asset portfolio and to appraise and develop future opportunities
