Viking Pump has added the G, AK, AL and M sizes to its existing series of “universal seal” pumps. This includes the addition of a smaller size to its most popular series of pumps for flows <10 GPM (2 m3/hour). These heavy-duty, foot-mounted pumps are designed for a broad range of applications that require continuous operation at pressures up to 200 psi (or more, for high fluid viscosities at reduced operating speeds). As a whole, the models in this series can be applied to both thin and thick liquids, and operate equally well in either direction. They are also capable of operating under suction lift conditions. And furthermore, these universal seal pumps can be positioned to meet common piping configurations.

Seal options include packing, single component seals, cartridge lip seals and cartridge single and double mechanical seals. Various seal flush plans are also available. Different models are constructed of different materials, ranging from cast iron, to ductile iron, to carbon steel, to stainless steel externals 3/4 with optional coatings and treatments to satisfy specific application needs. As in other pump types from Viking, both jacketed and non-jacketed models are available.

In addition to its many design and material options, this versatile series now has a total of 16 different sizes to choose from, with flows to 1,600 GPM (364 m3/h). Details about the four new sizes and other features of this line of universal seal pumps are available in the master product catalog from Viking Pump.
