Fugro-Jason declared EarthModel® FT 4.2, the latest version of its geologic modeling software. EarthModel FT is built upon the UpdateAbility and TrackAbility capabilities that allow geomodelers to quickly update their subsurface models to keep pace with the changing understanding provided by new interpretation, wells, production information, and other field data. Fugro-Jason is a leader in integrated reservoir characterization technology for the oil and gas industry.

EarthModel FT works with Jason Geoscience Workbench (JGW) advanced seismic reservoir characterization processes that deliver accurate rock property volumes from seismic and well data. Model realizations are constrained to honor all the information known about the reservoir, have a very small standard deviation and can be upscaled, ranked, and transferred to reservoir simulation software for dynamic simulation. EarthModel FT tracks all actions during 3D geologic model building, and can rapidly update the model when new information is acquired and when parameters change. The entire workflow can be reviewed so that the model can be understood, maintained and updated by new personnel.

New features and enhancements in EarthModel FT 4.2 include: • Petrel® Plug-in, allowing import/export of grids and properties • OpenSpirit Link, allowing import from all OpenSpirit-enabled applications
• Upscaling enhancements to the RockScale module, including facies and lithology property import, and also permeability, water saturation, net-to-gross, porosity and probability upscaling • Fault export to Eclipse® and Rescue® • Improved link to PowerLog® well log data base
