GE Transportation and Ingeteam Technology, S.A., have reached an agreement for GE to market and distribute variable frequency drives designed by Ingeteam for use in oil and gas drilling applications.

The GE Drilling Drives powered by Ingeteam will control speed of motors on oil rigs while utilizing the latest drive system technology. The drives are marine class certified and are packaged much more efficiently than traditional drilling drives, utilizing less space on oil rigs.
