GE’s UNIK 5000 pressure sensing

The UNIK 5000 pressure sensing platform from the Druck product line of GE Measurement & Control now carries the Brazilian INMETRO and the Chinese NEPSI Intrinsic Safety certifications.

As a result, UNIK 5000 pressure sensors can now be used throughout these countries in hazardous zone applications in the oil and gas and process industries, as well as in power generation and mining. These innovative pressure sensors already carry FM. FMc, and IECEx/ATEX approvals, allowing global manufacturers to specify UNIK 5000 sensors with total confidence in any equipment they manufacture intended for export.

As Sean Coyle, global product manager for the UNIK 5000 range, explains, “We have already made significant inroads into the oil and gas sector with our existing intrinsic safety certifications. The achievement of the new certifications means that we can now be even more active in another two of the world’s major growing economies. ”
