An international conference co-sponsored by the International Gas Union (IGU) and the Research Partnership to Secure Energy for America (RPSEA), and other leading energy organizations. The event will take place June 15-17, 2010 in Amsterdam.
In the past few years, there’s been growing global interest in the resource potential and broader dissemination of the North American unconventional gas experience. Unconventional gas currently represents almost one-half the domestic production in the U.S. and similar potential may be considered globally. This conference offers an ideal opportunity to share the views and experiences of world leaders in unconventional gas resource development.
The first day will provide context on the role of unconventional gas in a sustainable global energy mix and the issues associated with resource development. A learning workshop on the second day will provide state of the art insights into unconventional gas resource development and current and developing technology review with a focus on gas shales.
