Hawkley Oil & Gas has been awarded the 20 year production licence for Sorochynska by the Ukrainian state geological department.

Under the previous terms of the exploration licence, the company was permitted to produce up to 20% commercial volumes under pilot production rights. Under the terms of the new production licence, production from the Sorochynska project is no longer limited. The Sorochynska licence is 100% owned and operated by Hawkley.

Hawkley has been producing from the licence for in excess of a year through third party gas processing facilities located 20 kms from the licence. Award of the licence allows the Company to commence construction of a gas plant on the licence which will enhance curent production rates and accomodate future production from new wells. Recent 3D seismic acquisition and further geological and petrophysical analysis will provide the basis of a full field development plan including developmental and appraisal drilling of multiple targets on the block.
