The new Firefly PRO rescue lights by ACR Electronics are extremely bright, reliable LED strobe lights which ensure the best chance of visually alerting rescue services for accurate location in an emergency.

The powerful lights feature a long battery life so they are ideal for workers at offshore wind farms, in the oil and gas industries, deep sea fishing or in other commercial sectors.

Available in two versions for manual or water-activated operation, the SOLAS-approved Firefly PRO strobe lights use wide light emission LEDs to produce a 360 degree beam of light that is more than 41 candelas bright, allowing for visibility of over 3.5 miles.

The compact new strobe lights operate continuously for more than 56 hours with standard alkaline batteries, or for 28 hours using the steady-on feature, due to a light output power management system featuring ACR’s new microprocessor and energy efficient electronics.

The white colour of the LED strobe has no yellow tint which allows for a more visible light beam that can be seen at greater distances.

Measuring just 11.7 x 5.7 x 2.8 cm and weighing 68 grams, the Firefly fits easily inside an inflatable life jacket or pocket and also has two lashing loops and a Velcro strap for attachment to a jacket, belt or pack for easy accessibility. It has a durable casing to withstand the harshest environments and is waterproof tested to 10 metres.

The manually activated model has three activation functions – an ultra-bright strobe and SOS strobe to visually alert rescue authorities of the location, plus a steady-on feature for close-up recovery operations. The Firefly PRO Waterbug has all the features of the standard Firefly PRO and also has an armed mode in addition to the standard activation functions for automatic activation when wet.
