Ikon Science has appointed Mr. Mark Kittridge as Vice President of Technology for Ikon Science Americas.
Mark is a well known champion of Quantitative Interpretation technology and a recognized expert in the area of rock and fluid physics, responsible for development of methods and workflows deployed globally. He joins Ikon Science with over 23 years experience in onshore US, GoM, N. Sea, W. Africa, Brazil, Egypt, Russia, and the Philippines in Petrophysics, including well operations, integrated reservoir studies, geopressure, EOR, unconventional reservoirs and rock physics.
Mark previously worked at ConocoPhillips in Houston, Texas, as Manager of Petrophysical Analysis & Rock Physics, Subsurface Technology – Reservoir Description. Prior to joining ConocoPhillips Mark spent over 20 years at Shell, working in various roles including Regional Discipline Lead Petrophysics, Principal Technical Expert – Rock Physics and Senior Staff Petrophysical Engineer. He has contributed papers, workshops and presentations to the rock physics and petrophysical community as part of his active membership of the SEG, SPE, AAPG, EAGE and SPWLA.
Mark holds a Master of Science in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin, and a Bachelor of Science and Professional Degree in Geological Engineering from Colorado School of Mines.
