IMES Group launches new offshore safety business

IMES Group expects to create an initial 10 jobs with the launch of a new business designed to enhance offshore safety and integrity.

The Aberdeen-based company has made a six-figure investment in its Marine Safety Systems (MSS) division with six jobs already created and a further four to follow by the end of the year.

IMES has appointed respected industry figure, Colin Cunningham, to head up the new MSS business as operations director. With more than 35 years’ oil and gas experience, Colin brings a wealth of industry knowledge having most recently worked as global director of launch and recovery systems at Survitec Group.

Prior to that, Colin was operations director for marine and offshore operations at Cosalt Offshore. He has also performed senior roles, both in the UK and internationally, specialising in the global marine safety sector.
