IMV Projects, a Wood Group company, reported that a strategic hiring initiative has resulted in the recruitment of more than 100 professionals at the company’s Calgary headquarters.
“We held a job fair in January and were delighted to meet more than 1,000 prospective candidates in a single day,” says Kevin O’Brien, president, IMV Projects. “The job fair was a great way to showcase our company locally, but it is only one aspect of our ongoing talent acquisition strategy. Since the New Year, we have recruited more than 100 new professionals. The team at our Calgary headquarters is now approaching 600 and the search for exceptionally-talented engineering, procurement, project and corporate professionals continues. On behalf of IMV Projects, I would like to welcome our new people to the team. We look forward to our continued growth and shared success.
“The past two years have been challenging for the global economy and Alberta’s energy sector is no exception. However, during this time, we have worked very hard to position IMV Projects to respond quickly when economic recovery occurs. We believe that the time is now. We are very pleased our hiring initiative has attracted talented candidates looking for challenging and rewarding career opportunities. We also believe our efforts will benefit our clients during this period of accelerated economic growth by ensuring all projects are adequately resourced by top notch professionals,” concludes Mr. O’Brien.
