Lundin gets nod to drill in North Sea

Maersk Guardian jackup

Lundin Norway has received consent to carry out exploration drilling in the North Sea with the Maersk Guardian. The consent applies to drilling of exploration well 3/8-1, which is part of production license 400.

The well has the following geographical coordinates: N 56º 27' 16.93'', E 4º 25' 7.30''. The water depth at the site is approximately 65 meters.

According to the application for consent, the drilling will start mid-November 2010. The activity will have a duration of between 61 and 75 days, depending on the result of the drilling.
