Transocean Winner-3

Maersk Oil Norway AS has received consent to carry out exploration drilling of well 6406/3-9T in the Norwegian Sea using the mobile facility Transocean Winner.

The well will be drilled in production licence 431, about 12 kilometres south of the Åsgard field. Water depth at the site is approx. 316 metres.

The plan is for the drilling to last 54-116 days, depending on discovery and testing and drilling of possible sidetracks.

Transocean Winner is owned by Transocean Offshore and operated by Transocean Offshore (North Sea) Ltd NUF, with headquarters in Stavanger.

The facility was built in 1983 at Götaverken Arendal in Gothenburg. It was granted an Acknowledgement of Compliance (AoC) from the PSA in August 2006.
