Aberdeen-based oil and gas consultancy, Maxoil Solutions (Maxoil), is on course to increase its turnover by 70% to £5million through expanding its global operations.

The company is currently driving forward plans to establish a permanent presence in England – in order to capitalise on the opportunities for the company south of the border – and hopes to expand its Houston base, as well as set up offices in Perth, Australia, in the coming months and Stavanger, Norway in 2012.

The firm, which employs a total of 32 staff across its international bases, has also recently expanded the office space of its Granite City headquarters by 80%.

Having previously occupied a space covering 1360 sq ft within the Enterprise Business Centre, on Poynernook Road, the company has added a further 1120 sq ft following a move to larger offices within the same facility, bringing the total area now utilised by its Aberdeen operations to 2480 sq ft.

The move is the result of an extremely strong, recent performance by Maxoil, which saw the firm secure and complete a host of specialist worldwide contracts for major companies operating within the oil and gas sector.

These include a recently awarded contract, worth around £350,000, for offshore decommissioning production chemistry support in the UK North Sea.

The company’s success has also been reflected in the significant growth of its Aberdeen workforce, which has increased by 66% – from 15 to 25 members of staff – recently.

Maxoil is also currently looking to further bolster the team, with the company looking to recruit, in particular, experienced Process Engineers and Production Chemistry Consultants with strong operations background.

Director of Maxoil, Mel Dow, commented: “The key drivers for Maxoil’s forecasted growth is a focused effort on internationalisation and building upon our satellite offices in key operating areas – in addition to expanding our technical hub office in Aberdeen.

“Our international business development efforts over the last few years have forged key strategic client alliances, which has recently resulted in sizable contract wins.

“These latest developments ensure we are in an extremely strong position, as we look to capitalise on the many fresh opportunities which are being presented to the company, both in the UK and overseas, and drive the firm forward for further growth and success, both in the remainder of 2011 and beyond.”
