North Scotland-based industrial cleaning and environmental waste management specialist, the MSIS Group, has secured a contract – worth around £300,000 – with catering, hotel keeping and offshore facilities management company, ESS Support Services Worldwide.

The Group’s Equipment Rental and Sales division, which is based in Sauchen, Inverurie, has been awarded the contract to supply ESS with a fleet of some 25 trash compactors, which will be utilised on each of the offshore facilities the company provides catering services for, over an initial two year period.

The compactor units, which work by crushing waste into minimised bundles, significantly reduce waste disposal costs and storage space, which is particularly valuable on offshore platforms.

Duncan Bonner, Business Development Director of the MSIS Group – which also has a base in Invergordon – commented: “These are exciting times for MSIS Group and it’s excellent to kick off a fresh chapter in our history with the securing of this contract with ESS Support Services Worldwide.

“We have invested significantly in upgrading and improving the operation of our fleet of trash compactors, in particular making changes to key safety features. With these elements playing a key role in us being awarded the work, the investment is already paying dividends.”
