Niko Resources has received confirmation from Canadian authorities that they are engaged in a formal investigation into allegations of improper payments in Bangladesh by either Niko or its subsidiary in Bangladesh.

Niko has consistently cooperated with the anti-corruption authorities in Bangladesh who have investigated possible improper payments to public officials in that country. No charges were laid against either Niko or its subsidiary in Bangladesh.

Niko denies any wrongdoing and welcomes a Canadian review of the Company's processes. Niko intends to cooperate with any review process in this regard.
