Norse Energy Corp. has named S. Dennis Holbrook, Chief Legal Officer and Nazir Ali Executive Vice President of Operations and Reservoir Management.

Mr. Holbrook joined Norse on October 1, 2008 as Executive Vice President for Regulatory Compliance and Public Relations after representing the Company for many years as its legal counsel. Holbrook has over 35 years experience in the oil and gas industry, having worked on energy issues in the U.S Senate, the Federal Energy Administration, the Gas Industry Standards Board, and as an attorney and an energy industry executive. He holds a BA from Bucknell University, a Juris Doctorate with honors from the Catholic University Law School and is a graduate of the Executive Development Program of the University of Michigan Graduate School of Business Administration.

Mr. Ali has worked in the energy industry since the mid-1970s. He previously held senior leadership and operational roles in BP's Exploration and Production Division. His expertise includes development and implementation of technical best practices throughout the life cycle of producing fields. Mr. Ali was overseeing Reservoir Engineering at Norse immediately before assuming his new duties in operations. He holds a BA in Chemical Engineering and an Executive MBA from Rice University.

“The assumption of additional responsibilities by these well qualified leaders will help Norse significantly improve our overall efficiency,” commented Norse CEO Mark Dice. “Given the significant legal and regulatory requirements associated with energy exploration and development activities, we are fortunate to have someone of Dennis Holbrook's experience and ability. Nazir Ali's deep industry knowledge and expertise provides Norse a tremendous opportunity to consolidate and further streamline engineering and operations,” observed Dice.
