Ocean Installer has recently completed a mooring recovery and reinstallation project for a GoM production facility. Work location was in ultra-deep water (>2500 metres) and this is Ocean Installer’s first mooring job at such water depths.

The project was executed by Ocean Installer’s operating centre in Houston, Texas, and covered management, detail engineering, planning, mobilisation, material handling, transportation, recovery- and re-installation operations to replace the mooring lines.

The Ocean Installer construction support vessel Normand Clipper was utilised for the offshore campaign, which took place during the second quarter of 2016.

“With this project we continue to build our position as a provider of mooring services, reinforcing and complementing our service offerings beyond our strong SURF competency,” says Mike Newbury, President of Ocean Installer in the US.
