Oilennium has appointed earth scientist Sharron Ganther to the position of Trainee Instructional Designer. With her in-depth experience in exploration and the geotechnical and geophysical sciences, the appointment of Ganther signals a new scientific direction for the oil and gas industry training specialist.

"The opportunity to join Oilennium at this time is extremely exciting, especially as it is expanding and launching new training courses in exploration," said Ganther. "I look forward to working with the team to take the company into this and other new areas that will benefit clients worldwide," she added.

In her new role, Ganther is responsible for producing e-learning solutions for the exploration industry. Drawing upon 10 years experience in oil and gas, and 20 years in publishing and academia, Ganther is overseeing a new line of training courses that will focus on oil and gas exploration. She is writing course content, and working closely with clients and Oilennium's team of graphic designers and courseware developers to ensure that the new courses are effective, and that the content reflects the state-of-the-art technologies currently being employed in the industry.

"With Sharron's extensive background in exploration and the earth sciences, she brings with her an exciting new dimension to the range of training courses that we will be able to offer," said Kevin Keable, Managing Director of Oilennium. "Given her experience in scientific publishing, I have full confidence in her ability to develop, launch and manage the new line. We can only benefit from her expertise, and will rely upon her guidance as we expand our offerings in exploration and the geosciences," he added.
