ONS 2010-2

It is now less than six months to the big opening of ONS in Stavanger. It is already possible for you to nominate companies and individuals for our awards. The conference programme will soon be in place and our exhibition space is almost fully booked.

The organisors invited all those working directly and indirectly to help us organise ONS to our half-year pre-event celebration on 24 February.

It was a very successful evening and an inspiration to see so many enthusiastic people all gathered in one place. At the end of this article you can take a look at some pictures taken that evening.

The organisors are already looking forward to 24 August – and hope that you are doing the same.

Innovative focus Our innovation awards, first presented in 1982, reflect the event’s long-standing commitment to showcasing and promoting innovative ideas.

Since 2004, the original Innovation Award has been supplemented with an SME Innovation Award presented to small and medium-sized enterprises. This gives all companies a chance to highlight their new developments.

For the first time, the ONS innovation awards are open to all companies, and not just to exhibitors.

It is now possible for you to send your applications and nominations for our innovation awards. There will be an award focused on especially innovative companies. You can also make a nomination for the Special Innovation Award, which will be presented to a company or individual that has made a special contribution towards the development of innovative technology. The deadline for applications and nominations is 20 May.

Booking It is now getting difficult to reserve stand space at this year’s ONS, but we still have some vacant space in the Renewable Energy and CCS Parks. If you want to exhibit at ONS and feel that your company is well-suited to one of these parks, you will find a booking form here.

The conference programme is also beginning to take shape. We have invited several eminent individuals to moderate and chair the various conference sessions. You can get to know the chairs better by reading the biographies in this article.

As ONS approaches our exhibitors and conference delegates are making more and more enquiries. To address this we have made some changes to our website to provide our visitors with an even better service. Take a look and see!
