Origin says that Dr. Roland Williams had advised the Board that he intended to retire as independent Non-executive Director from the Board, effective from the close of the Annual General Meeting on October 29, 2010.

Dr. Williams was appointed in February 2000 upon the formation of Origin.

Mr. McCann said, "Roland has made an invaluable contribution to Origin as a director and has provided dedicated leadership as Chairman of the Health, Safety and Environment Committee and past Chairman of the Audit Committee. Roland's extensive industry experience and commercial expertise has contributed great value to robust decision-making by the Board and the growth and success of the Origin group over the past 10 years.

"The Company will make arrangements to formally acknowledge Roland's contribution to Origin in the coming weeks and at the Annual General Meeting. However, we wish to take this opportunity to thank Roland for his input and wish him well in his retirement."
