Amerisur gets approval for Ecuador interconnector pipeline construction

Amerisur Resources is pleased to announce the approval of the modification to the Platanillo field global exploitation licence for the construction and operation of the Ecuador interconnector oil pipeline. This modification has been approved by the Autoridad Nacional de Licenciamiento Ambiental, a Division of the Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development of the Republic of Colombia.

Additionally the ANLA approved the Company's application for the operation of up to two water disposal wells per production Pad. Each well is permitted to dispose of up to 20,000 barrels of water per day into the Tertiary Pepino formation.

Giles Clarke, Chairman of Amerisur commented, 'This approval from the ANLA completes all required Colombian permits for our Ecuador interconnector project and we look forward to completing all arrangements for the Ecuadorian element of the project which are well in hand. I am very grateful for the constructive approach adopted by the authorities in relation to this important bi-national project.'
