ALMACO was awarded a contract to build two complete modules for the world's leading owner and operator of semi-submersible accommodation rigs, Prosafe Offshore Ltd. The new modules will be installed onboard Safe Astoria, a semi-submersible accommodation and service vessel built in 1983.

ALMACO’s scope consists of two modules which will be complete new buildings to be constructed in Batam, Indonesia, just outside of Singapore. One of the modules consists of twenty-one new cabins; the other module is for recreational purposes. For both modules, ALMACO delivers a complete turnkey scope from steel to the final interior details.

The project was awarded to ALMACO in June 2011 as part of the vessel upgrade to accommodate more personnel.
