Prosafe provides operational update for Q1 2009.
Rig utilisation in the first quarter of 2009 was 76.6 per cent.
MSV Regalia was at the Keppel Verolme yard in Rotterdam to undertake a major refurbishment.
Safe Bristolia was mobilised to Mexico in February and started a one-year contract in Mexico in mid-March.
Safe Concordia operated for Chevron in the US Gulf of Mexico until beginning of February, where after the rig has been awaiting a new contract.
Safe Caledonia operated for Total in the UK North Sea in the first quarter. In a period of 40 days in February and March Safe Caledonia was out of operation due to a planned yard stay.
Safe Astoria is in layup at the Kemaman yard in Malaysia. In February SEIC notified Prosafe of termination of the remaining contract duration from early March onwards. Prosafe is entitled to 85 per cent of the remaining contract value. Safe Astoria was on standby dayrate in January and February.
All other vessels have been fully utilised in the first quarter.
