Carnarvon Petroleum Limited says that the operator of the Roc-1 well in permit WA-437-P offshore Western Australia, Quadrant Energy has advised that the well spud Nov. 24.

Drilling with the jackup Noble Tom Prosser (400' ILC) is expected to take approximately 35 to 40 days to reach Total Depth of 15,420 feet (4,700 meters), wiith well logging and sidewall coring to take around 5 to 10 days.
