Last year, Rapp Bomek and Statoil signed a frame agreement for supply of internal and external fire doors to the Johan Sverdrup field development. The production of fire doors for the entire project will run through 2016 and partly into 2017. This frame agreement and the option for deliveries to the projects Johan Sverdrup phase II, Johan Castberg, Snorre 2040 and Peregrino is one of the largest contracts in the company’s history. Rapp Bomek reports that the production has now been started and it will ensure good capacity utilisation for many months.

“This agreement is very important for Rapp Bomek as the company consolidates its position as a world leader in the global oil and gas market for fire doors. In a market which for a long period now has experienced reduced investment rate the contract is also important for employment in Rapp Bomek. We are very proud to have got this assignment from Statoil and we will ensure that the project is going to be delivered with customary high Rapp Bomek quality on time,” says CEO Terje Bøe.
