John O’Hara - Red Spider Technology

Red Spider Technology, the remote open close technology specialists serving the international oil & gas industry, has appointed John O’Hara as sales manager for North America, as part of a continuing global growth strategy.

John O’Hara joins the company with 12 years experience in business development within the deepwater oil and gas industry, particularly in downhole intelligent completion products.

Based at Houston, Texas, he will focus on promoting Red Spider’s game-changing patented remote open close well intervention and completion technologies to operators in the region.

He joins North and South Americas sales manager Gary Smith to focus on growth in the region.

Steve Nicol, CEO, said: “I’m delighted to welcome John to Red Spider. We have ambitious expansion plans and North and South America are key locations for our international growth strategy. John will have primary responsibility for developing our business in the US, with a particular focus on our range of remote open close technology products.

We have a reputation for smart, inventive products with excellent, flexible customer service and John’s appointment will reinforce this.”
