Roc Oil appoints Non-Executive Directors

ROC provides update on AEL merger

ROC advised that Mr. Graham Mulligan and Mr. Christopher Hodge have been appointed as non-executive Directors of the Company, effective September 7, 2010.

Mr. Mulligan holds both science and accountancy qualifications. He is the principal of International Infrastructure Ventures and has considerable international petroleum industry experience. This included over 16 years with the New Zealand O&G Limited Group where he was both a director and senior executive. Mr. Mulligan is also a former Chairman of the Petroleum Exploration Association of New Zealand. He has held a number of other senior executive roles. He is currently a director of Chalmers Limited and Transpacific Industries Group Ltd.

Mr. Hodge is a qualified geologist with over 30 years of international petroleum industry experience in a number of senior executive roles. He is currently advising Mitsubishi concerning their exploration activities in Australia.

Following these appointments the ROC Board will comprise seven Directors (one executive Director and six non-executive Directors).

ROC's Chairman, Mr. Andrew Love, stated, "I would like to welcome Chris Hodge and Graham Mulligan to the Board. Both are highly respected and qualified individuals with considerable petroleum industry and commercial experience. We are extremely pleased to have secured two such high calibre additions to the Board. The Board looks forward to their valuable contributions as the Company continues to implement its growth strategy over the coming years."
