Aberdeen’s Lord Lieutenant George Adam, acting on behalf of Her Majesty the Queen, presented ModuSpec Engineering UK Limited, now Lloyds Register Energy – Drilling with the Queen’s Award for Enterprise in International Trade award today to mark its sustained business expansion.
Lloyds Register Energy - Drilling UK is an Aberdeen-based market leading company, providing a range of innovative services to ensure the operational integrity of drilling assets for the oil and gas sector, often working in hostile environments.
To be awarded the Queen’s Award for Enterprise in the category of International Trade, a company must show a substantial and sustained increase in export earnings over three consecutive 12 month periods, to a level which is outstanding for the products and services concerned, and for the size of the organisation.
Lloyd’s Register Energy – Drilling UK has achieved significant sales in the Netherlands, Norway and the US and increasingly in South Korea. High demand for new build drilling rigs, partly due to oil demand and the age of units currently in operation, has also seen a sharp increase for technical coaching delivered from the company’s training academy.
